Business Motivations: Why Brass Banking?

Small and medium enterprises make up more than 95% of all businesses in Nigeria. But despite their sheer size and importance, a majority of them are underserved by financial institutions and lack the full suite of financial services needed to scale their operations. Traditional business banking in Nigeria is not exactly tailored to satisfy some of the dire needs of SMEs and Startups. From extensive KYC processes, unnecessary red tape, clunky rules and processes to lack of business support, traditional banks are not optimised to meet the peculiar demands, creativity and acceleration startups require.

Qual User Insights: Customer Journey Map

Collaborating with stakeholders and interviewing customers, we came up with a customer journey map highlighting the account opening flow of business account and some of the key services offered along the journey to deposits and business operations.

We also extracted some of the key opportunities that now serves as Brass Bank’s unique value proposition to its customer segment.
